WARNING: This post is a little gross.
Saturday I had a friend (Ian Ragusa) over for the afternoon and we did a few things around the house. Sandy made us dinner – beef stroganoff and pumpkin pie. After dinner, Sandy and I watched the football game and went to bed.
I woke up Sunday morning at 3:30 AM with terrible stomach pains and threw up several times. The same thing happened at 5:00 and 6:30 AM. It happened a couple more times after that.
I don’t mean to be gross, but it was the sickest I have been in probably 20 years. As the day went by, I spent most of it in bed. About noontime I drank a half glass of water. In the afternoon, I had a half piece of toast. In the early evening I had about 4 saltine crackers. At about 8 PM I had a half bowl of soup.
Here’s the crazy part. I wake up today and I’m fine. (My stomach muscles hurt for obvious reasons, but I ate a normal breakfast.) I ate breakfast and am at work now. Also, my wife never got sick at all.
I think I’ll call Ian to see if he got sick. Strange!
I’m glad you’re feeling better.
Did you check to see what Sandy put in the food ?
Shortly after writing the above post, my stomach started feeling worse and worse. I ended up going home and being sick all day Monday and Tuesday. My stomach still hurts today (Wednesday) so I’m probably going to the doctor.
The good news is that I talked to Ian and he is ok. He had a bit of a head/sinus cold, but nothing nasty like I had.
Ok, it’s Thursday morning and I’m finally feeling better – for the most part. I had a doctor appointment for this afternoon, but I think I’ll cancel it. I’ve been at work all morning and seem to be hanging in there.
My wife wishes I would get sick and couldnt eat for a couple of days, so I would lose, that other person sitting above my belt.
It is tough this time of year, the NY giants make people nervous eaters. By the way , local cable is not showing the game, hint for you dish people.
Jason told me the Patriots game (we don’t refer to it as a Giants game over here) is on NBC Saturday!
Interesting. What I had is probably a norovirus.
